Although the United States Congress enacted laws to provide national library services in every state, not every state has a volunteer organization offering support for these libraries.

The Friends is a (501(c)3) charitable organization that provides supplementary support for the Maryland State Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.

As member of Friends, you will receive advance notice of programs and special fundraising events.

To become a member of the Friends, please download the membership application .

You can also support the Friends through estate planning. Please contact us to discuss options for planned giving such as charitable bequests, beneficiary designations or other types of asset gifts. The Friends organization has a consultation arrangement with Morgan Stanley to help coordinate your wishes in this regard.
